About Us

Earth & Ocean Systems is a research-driven company manufacturing eco-friendly products to promote optimum growth in your garden. The company was founded by plant scientists in Pasco, Washington, part of the fertile growing region of eastern Washington State.

The company grew out of one researcher’s vision to improve the type of nutrients available to farmers. Chemist David Bergevin knew the changing agricultural market needed new formulations and creative approaches for feeding plants that would improve the health, crop-cycle time, quality, and yield of crops. In 1989, in response to these needs, he banded together with other researchers and specialists to form Northwest Agricultural Products (NAP). In over 16 years of scientific research and field testing, NAP has formulated more than 300 unique products that are used extensively in the commercial agricultural market throughout North America. Each of these plant technology solutions was designed to meet a specific customer need.

In 1998, a new branch of the company evolved—Earth & Ocean Systems. The staff, many of whom are avid gardeners, began to use Earth & Ocean Systems nutrients, the same advanced plant technologies developed at Northwest Agricultural Products. The staff experienced such great results with their own gardens that, in 2004, we decided to bring our products to you: hobbyists and garden club members, hydroponic growers and landscapers, anyone who wants professional-style garden products but in retail-friendly sizes.

Today, we continue to invest in research and development. Our in-house staff includes a plant physiologist, organic chemist, and molecular biologist. We also have partnered with numerous university and government scientists and private research and development organizations to provide premier products to meet customer needs.
